Another Good Bye, Another Merry-go-round

Another Good Bye, Another Merry-go-round

7.2.09 Haih...History seems to repeat itself. Our president Dzafir Ab Razak came to say good bye as he would be leaving for MRSM in Penang. We lost another leader just like the previous yearS!

Anyway, thank you Dzafir for all that you have done for our green-pockets co. and congratulations for getting good results and being accepted into a reputable institution. Our lost is their gain. We are going to keep our spirit high and try to get out of this fated merry-go-round.

Green-Ice Breaking- Di sebalik tabir ( literally)

After the kawat practice, teachers instructed us to form a big circle. One by one, we introduced ourselves. Later we were divided into 2 groups and asked to form a line facing the other group. A piece of cloth(tabir) separated us . When the cloth dropped, we had to say out the name of our 'opponent' facing us. Failing to do so, we were 'detained' and 'punished'. As it was our first real meeting and we were still not familiar with each other, we had a large number of detainees. It was a fun activity and we really need to know each other...fast. Will there be Di sebalik tabir 2- the sequel?

The First Stitch of Green Pockets

The First Stitch of Green Pockets

Assalammualaikum and a big hello everyone!

The idea of creating this blog came around 4pm today, out of nowhere. Writing short weekly reports seems not enough, plus there are pictures to share ...and the KRS bulletin board at the canteen is too small for us to post anything besides the list of BODs, general activities, announcements, etc. Having a blog seems a cool idea as our cadets can get to learn more about managing, writing, maintaining and sharing information.

KRS was first established in BBBS in 1998 under the care of Encik Mohd Nasir. When he left the school, it was handed over to Puan Aznida with the help of some other teachers who have 'come and go'. For many years now Encik Norzi has joined our green-pocket family and this year we are excited to welcome Puan Khairun Nisa' and Cik Azilailie to be our teacher advisors, along with Puan Aznida and En Norzi.

Over the years, KRS has experienced its ups and downs. We have seen the glorious years as well as the bleak era. We have had some of the best sarjans in Petaling who impressed the judges in Pertandingan Kawat Kaki and Perkhemahan KRS up to national level, leading the troop, full of pride. Similarly we have had our dark years where KRS seemed to be motionless and going through near-death experience.

For some years now, KRS has suffered the curse of losing good leaders right after PMR results come out. However, this year the teachers, the committee members and the loyal members are determine to restore its strength and endure all to bring KRS back to a respectable place so that we could work along with the other uniformed bodies for the betterment of our school. The task is not going to be easy, as Puan Aznida said today, '' To continue one's legacy is a bliss but to rekindle a dying soul is the real test of one's credibility" . We are glad to take this challenge and with the support and blessings from all of you, we know we could make it happen.

Enough for now, ILMU IMAN AMAL!
